Friedrich Züfle from Kornwestheim

The city of Kornwestheim designated a road to his memory.

  Friedrich Züfle was born Dec 23th, 1891. As a civil servant of the railway he worked some years until 1933 on the Kornwestheimer marshalling yard.
 
After 1933 he belonged to a group, which passed information about events and conditions in Germany to trade unionists, socialist etc. abroad. With other railroadmen he channeled printed writings abroad to Germany.
 
Because of these at that time punishable actions he was arrested to 24.07.1938 by the secret state police in Ulm. To 17.12.1938 he, according to official data, deceased in the institute for detention by suicide.
 
After 1945 Zuefle was explained as a resistance fighter against the IIIrd realm and the national socialism.

[706j] Karl Friedrich ZÜFLE, * Baiersbronn-Dorf 23.12.1891, + Stuttgart 17.12.1938 (Gestapo-Haft); Parents: [660h] Georg Friedrich ZÜFLE, Leinenweber (weaver?) and Musician in Baiersbronn, and Rosina Katharina FINKBEINER.
His ancestors go back to a Michel ZYFFLIN, born in Röt in the year 1614. He died in Obermusbach February 1674. [Source: Ziefle-Buch]
